We offer meticulously crafted,
custom-designed cakes. Styles range from the elegant traditional to
anything but... An example of the latter, was a specially engineered
cake to look like it was falling over.
The flavor and texture of the cake play a very important part in addition
to the eye appeal. Therefore, Old World Cake Company will always offer
"taste testings" of a few of our specialties. Rum, Amaretto, Chocolate-Chocolate
Chip, Sour Cream Pound are just a few of the specialty cake flavors,
in addition to the standard ones. The icings range from International
Butter Cream to fondants.
Many of the hand-crafted cakes are adorned with
cascades of Gum Paste flowers, butterflies, ribbons and greenery which are all
edible, but, also offer a great keepsake to enjoy for years to come. Of course,
fresh flowers and personalized cake decorations can be used.
The average
cake takes between twenty to forty-five hours to make. Therefore, only one cake
order will be taken per weekend so each bride will receive the attention they
deserve on "their" day.
