solo performances Emily M. Waggoner received her BA in music in 2001, and will complete her MA in Harp Performance in May 2006. Emily started her harp training when she was 7 years old and has studied with Dorrine Yoder of Hidden Valley Harps, Joyce Fankhauser, Anita Burroughs-Price of the North Carolina Symphony, and Dr. Carrol McLaughlin of the University of Arizona. She has performed in many venues throughout the United States and Canada for business functions, weddings, receptions, church services, solo and chamber recital series, and orchestra harp parts as needed for Spartanburg Symphony, Asheville Symphony, Hendersonville Symphony, Hilton Head Symphony, Greenville Symphony, Anderson Symphony and others. She maintains a private harp studio of 35 students ranging from age seven to adult, providing private weekly instruction, bi-annual public recitals, theory tutoring, pedagogy training, harp rentals, harp purchasing instruction, master classes, harp ensembles, competition coaching, and professional performing experience. Emily records professionally for SoundForth Music and at Brightwater Digital. She is a member of the American Harp Society, The Upstate Wedding Mall Association, Upstate Bridal Association, the Crescent Music Club, the Metropolitan Arts Council, and the National Federation of Music Clubs.
